P&O Cruises shareholder benefit: onboard credit and how to claim

P&O Cruises has no shares of its own. It belongs to Carnival Corporation, whose shareholders can get onboard credit on P&O Cruises sailings.

How much onboard credit you get

P&O Cruises gives the credit in sterling. The amount depends on the cruise length. The credit goes to your cabin; it is not cash and does not reduce the fare.

Which shares qualify

You need at least 100 Carnival Corporation shares.

You must sail on an eligible booking and occupy the cabin receiving the credit.

Before buyingA perk is a minor benefit of owning a share, not a reason to buy one. Share prices fall as well as rise, and dealing costs, spreads and tax can exceed a perk’s value. Read about the risks.

UK holdings and booking checks

Carnival sends shareholders to Stockperks for the ownership check. Its benefit page does not say you must register the shares in your own name. We have not tested a claim through any broker or account.

If you held Carnival plc shares in the UK

Carnival combined its two listed companies on 7 May 2026. Each Carnival plc share became one share in Carnival Corporation, which trades as CCL on the New York Stock Exchange. The London listing ended.

UK holders may now hold depositary interests: these represent Carnival shares in the UK settlement system. Equiniti runs a nominee service for Carnival that holds them for some shareholders. Start with Stockperks and ask its support team how to verify this holding. Carnival’s FAQs do not explain that step.

Check your fare before relying on the credit

Carnival excludes reduced-rate and free cruises but does not say which fares count. Ask your cruise line about your booking. Carnival’s benefit page links to each line’s contact details.

The offer can change

Carnival can change or end the benefit without notice. Check the published terms before each claim.

How to claim for your P&O cruise

Carnival does not say which documents Stockperks accepts or how long checks take. If Stockperks cannot validate your holding, ask it what evidence it needs.

  1. 1. Find your cruise line in StockperksDownload Stockperks, create a profile and search for Carnival. Select the cruise line you are sailing with.
  2. 2. Validate your holdingChoose “Validate your portfolio” and follow the ownership check.
  3. 3. Claim for your bookingOnce Stockperks confirms your holding, submit a claim for each eligible booking. Allow at least three weeks before departure; you cannot arrange the credit onboard.
