Barratt Redrow

Shareholder home discount

Unconfirmed
What we found Home discount unconfirmed Not confirmed by the company

Barratt Redrow is the UK housebuilder behind Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Redrow. Barratt Developments took its current name after Redrow joined the group in 2024.

What we found

Barratt Redrow’s shareholder FAQ and 2026 annual report give no terms for a shareholder discount on a new home: no rate, qualifying holding or application route.

Neither source rules an offer out. If a sales office mentions a shareholder discount, ask for written terms naming the eligible shares before relying on it.

Redrow’s old terms are separate

Redrow’s 2019 annual report, still hosted on Barratt Redrow’s website, described a home discount for holders of Redrow plc shares. Barratt acquired all Redrow shares in August 2024. The Redrow page explains that former scheme.

Company story

The older discount reports

Investors’ Chronicle named Barratt Developments among housebuilders offering shareholder home discounts in July 2003.

The helicopter and the housebuilder

Barratt says it became the first housebuilder to advertise on television in 1978. Its history credits the adverts, featuring actor Patrick Allen and a helicopter, with making Barratt a household name. David Wilson Homes joined the group in 2007 when Barratt bought Wilson Bowden.
