What we found No shareholder discount Declined by the company

easyJet operates an airline and a holiday business.

What we found

easyJet’s shareholder FAQ says shareholders receive no discount on its services because it believes they should benefit through increased profits.

Flights and holidays

The policy covers easyJet’s services, rather than just air fares. A shareholding provides no shareholder flight or holiday discount under that policy.

A policy with a long history

In its 2005 FAQ, easyJet explained that it treated investors and customers as separate groups. It said avoiding extra complexity helped it keep costs low, so it offered shareholders no concessions or discounts.

The Apollo takeover is pending

easyJet has agreed a recommended cash takeover by Eagle Bidco, a company indirectly owned by Apollo funds. Court and general meetings are scheduled for 11 November 2026. The scheme is expected to take effect before the end of the first quarter of 2027; it has not completed.
