Company story

myJet2 began under the Dart Group name

Jet2 traces its history to Art Carpenter flying flowers from Guernsey to the UK in 1971. The later Dart Group name honoured the Rolls-Royce Dart engines used by the group.

Jet2 introduced its myJet2 loyalty scheme in 2008, while it was still called Dart Group. Dart Group became Jet2 plc in 2020 after selling its Fowler Welch distribution and logistics business. Older shareholder documents can therefore carry the Dart Group name.
