Persimmon

Shareholder home discount

Unconfirmed
What we found Home discount unconfirmed Not confirmed by the company

Persimmon builds new homes across the UK under the Persimmon Homes and Charles Church brands.

What we found

Persimmon’s shareholder FAQ and annual reports from 2010 to 2025 describe no shareholder discount on a new home. They give no discount rate, qualifying holding or application route.

These sources do not expressly rule out a shareholder offer. If you have been offered one, ask Persimmon for written terms before treating shares as a way to reduce a home’s price.

Discounted shares are an employee benefit

The 2026 annual general meeting notice describes a savings scheme that lets eligible employees buy discounted shares. That discount applies to shares for employees, not to homes for ordinary shareholders.

Bellway’s former home discount

Bellway offered shareholders money off a new Bellway home. Its scheme has ended.

Redrow’s separate home discount

Redrow also offered shareholders money off a new home. These were separate schemes; neither establishes an offer from Persimmon.

Company story

The builder makes the materials too

Persimmon makes some of the materials that go into its homes. In 2025, its Brickworks factory supplied about 60 million bricks and block paving to 258 of the group’s sites. Space4 makes timber frames, wall panels and roof sections, while Tileworks makes concrete roof tiles for the group.
