Telecom Plus
Utility Warehouse shareholder plan
What you get
Shareholders pay a lower energy tariff and receive a December credit on eligible non-energy bills.
Energy tariffs
Approximately 10% below UW’s standard energy tariffs. The tariff starts when your application is approved, or as soon as possible after that, and applies only at your main billing address.
December bill credit
10% credit on fully paid eligible non-energy bills for the previous twelve months. The credit is prorated if you joined partway through the year. The terms say the amount is final and cannot be disputed.
What it takes
You need at least 1,500 shares. Ownership date: At application; no annual qualifying date is stated.
You also need a Utility Warehouse account in good standing, with a valid Direct Debit throughout, and must tell UW about your shares.
Before buyingA perk is a minor benefit of owning a share, not a reason to buy one. Share prices fall as well as rise, and dealing costs, spreads and tax can exceed a perk’s value. This page is not investment advice. Read about the risks.

Shares held in your own name or through a nominee qualify.
The issuer does not give separate rules for ISA and SIPP holdings.

Practical notes
Which non-energy services qualify?
The credit clause says “non-energy services”, but its heading says “telephony supplies only”. Check with UW which services qualify before counting on a credit.
Compare the tariffs
The saving is measured against UW’s own standard tariffs, not against your current tariff or another supplier’s offer.
Nominee evidence
Nominee holders can apply, but the terms do not say whether every broker will supply the evidence UW asks for.
Changes and eligibility
UW can change the terms or benefits by publishing new ones on its website. Telecom Plus can withhold benefits if it believes you have not met the conditions.
